About Tiffini

So here we are, at the tricky about me section, where you are asked to literally put yourself into words. A few years ago, I’m sure my personal introduction would sound a lot like a list of what I had accomplished so far. It would have been very surface, safe, and honestly very boring. That’s not to say I’m not proud of myself, because I’ve been blessed. But at that time, I had no idea how my introduction would change. I’ve often heard people say “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans”. Well God must see me as one of the original Queens of Comedy because since high school, I just knew exactly how my life would play out. **SPOILER ALERT** I was wrong. And if you are a planner like me – you know what disappointment, hurt, and even confusion can be birthed from things not going how you imagined. But plans change. Sometimes life likes to add a little razzle dazzle just because. And you can either allow those moments to defeat you or to lead to growth. I had to make the decision to choose growth and it is a daily decision; like for real, EVERY SINGLE DAY.

So, meet Tiffini. I am a 35 year old single mom, a divorcee (yeah we will get to that), and a therapist turned social worker. Oh, and now I’m a blogger. I am creating a space where it is ok not to be ok at every moment because no one is. A space where we learn how to deal with the rain, sunshine and even the BS (fertilizer) life brings. Like it or not, it is all necessary for growth. I am excited to explore the realities of life after divorce, and the end of relationships; because there is definitely life after. Let’s navigate parenting, relationships, mental health and overall healthy living. We are on the journey to becoming the best versions of ourselves; blooming into beautiful flowers, and we have the rain to thank for that. Welcome to the garden.
